Growing Up and Better!

Everytime I get to see high school classmates whom I haven’t seen for a long time, such moments never fail to give me wide smiles.  I went to an exclusive boys school in Cebu City and have had the fondest memory of what school was and will always be.  It was a time when we neither old enough nor very young.  It was a time that we, together and individually, carved our selves, character and painted the future that we wanted to have.  It was where we started making decisions that would soon be of impact to what we will become.

When I think of high school, I always remember a phrase which I so believe to be true.  It goes, “Your classmates in high school, when you grow old, may either be your lawyer, accountant, priest, engineer and doctor”.   Or something to that effect.  Indeed, so true.  I can fondly recall the boys stuffs that we did when days were younger and carefree and who would have thought that among these guys will be my business partner, accountant, lawyer, doctor and architect.  And when I may need a civil, mechanical, electrical or whatever engineer, a chartered pilot of a Boeing 727, an instrumental engineer of Malampaya Power Plant, a Chef, a Teacher, a Flight Steward of an international airline, a Software Programmer or whatever skilled person I will need, there will be a high school classmate/batch-mate that could be referred to.  Looking at us now, we turned out pretty well after all.
