A Cebuano’s Photography Experiments
There are a number of ways I know on how to Socialize One’s Blog. It is important that a blog be introduced to other publishers and in the process, to internet users, so as to hasten the process of connecting with the rest of the world. And this is so especially when a blog has just been launched, as in this case of CEBU IMAGINATIONS, to socialize the blogsite.
Some of the techniques I know on how to introduce my blog is by registering it to Google’s registry. Though it is a process which would take at least days to even months for Google to bookmark you page, it is still one of the least costly but a good enough technique. Another technique that I employed when I launched the site a week ago was to visit other bloggers, as I have previously mentioned. It is perhaps the easiest way on how to socialize one’s blog. This is what is usually the purpose of blog hopping. It is even safe to assume that for every number of blog you have visited, at least 50% of those visits will also turn into visit statistics on your site. Though very tedious and time consuming, it is highly recommended for a newbie blogger and a fresh blog to, at least once, do this task. A technique that would have been very helpful but very difficult to achieve would have to be getting links to your blog from a high PR site. Getting links from a high PR site would give your blog more authority and hasten the process of bookmarking your site by search engines. However, it would all be easier said than done. Lucky if you would already have an existing site with a PR of about 5 or higher as this would be very much helpful to your fresh site but for one trying to socialize one’s blog, and a fresh blog at that, it would almost be an impossible task. Another costly technique in socializing your blog would be through paid advertising via google adsense or yahoo. Though the cost would all depend on your budget, but for a start-up blogger such as me, the option would all have to be at the very last.
Socializing one’s blog is mostly a game of patience and perseverance. Starting out on blogging would mean zero visits and/or zero comments for most of the early months of blogsite. As just like in everything else in life, good things have to be earned and in the process learning from that experience. And though cliche as it may sound, but it trully is, success is sweetest after tasting all the flavors of failures of socializing one’s blog.
