A Cebuano’s Photography Experiments
Social climbing, as quoted from thefreedictionary.com, is a phrase which refers to an activity where someone tries to join a higher social class, especially by becoming friends from someone of that social class. But that term could be of negative connotations to Filipinos. And I am not referring to that kind of social climbing too, rather social hopping.
Some consider blog hopping as evil, especially when a blogger simply hops from one blog to another leaving only backlinks but not caring to look at what the visited blog is all about. But aren’t we guilty of it at one time or another. When I was on a free blogging platform, I did my share of blog hopping and it did give me returns visits. And I am not complaining. It was merely social hopping, not social climbing. There are even visitors who would clearly drop by a shoutbox expecting return visits and I give in to their thirst. It’s either I do it or not. We bloggers care so much about site traffic and we do quite a lot of things to achieve that.
Before, I used to hop around via shoutboxes or tagboards. Now, I’ve found an interesting way of doing that and that is through entrecard. The concept seemed complex at first but it was quite simple after all. I am not social climbing, I am simply doing social hopping. So if you’re dropping by this site, do drop me a card, will you?!
