Cebu Photo Series: # 1 (Magellan’s Cross)

I have been thinking of doing a series on Cebu City Landmarks.  Talking to a friend abroad, it helps him in his homesickness, even by just looking at photos from his hometown.  So here, I’m kicking the series off with a photo of the historic Magellan’s Cross.  Located just a few meters from Sto. Niño Basilica, this cross represents the place where Ferdinand Magellan and his fleet first held mass and planted a crucifix to symbolize the spread of Catholicism in the Philippines and Asia.
